First identified as a result of palaeontological monitoring, site EaOq-82 represents a deeply buried, multi-component precontact site located along the banks of the South Saskatchewan River. This talk will focus on the results of the excavations, the challenges represented by the site’s location, and the unique features/artifacts that were recovered. Additionally, the talk will highlight the importance of the Historical Resources Act and the benefits of collaboration between regulators, consultants, and contractors when Section 31 finds are identified during construction activities.
