Stones and Bones

The ASA Lethbridge Centre typically hosts a Stones and Bones event every other year. Stay tuned for our upcoming one in the spring of 2024!

A Stone & Bones event is an exciting opportunity for members of the community to bring in artifacts, fossils, and other items of interest for specialists from the Royal Alberta Museum and the Archaeological Society, Lethbridge Centre to identify. There are also a number of demonstrations and displays set up for visitors to enjoy!

Check back for details on our next Stones and Bones in 2024!

Speaker Series

Invited speakers present their research and knowledge to our members on the first Tuesday of every month. We moved our meetings from the Lethbridge Public Library to the University of Lethbridge because the library has reduced its evening hours. Be sure to check the room location of the presentation, as it can change. We also offer a Zoom link for those members unable to join us in person. Watch for the Zoom link in your email inbox. Non-members, feel free to join us in person or contact the ASA Lethbridge Centre for a Zoom link to participate: arky.lethbridge@gmail.com

Topics range from local archaeological projects to sites and research carried out across the globe. The meetings start at 7:00 pm with a short business meeting. The guest speaker begins shortly thereafter.
